The Parliament of the World’s Religions is the largest summit of interfaith activists around the globe which provides listening, learning and sharing opportunities. This year the world’s largest and most historic interfaith gathering will be held at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City in Utah, USA from October 15 to 19. It will be attended by 10,000 delegates from 80 countries and 50 religious and spiritual traditions
On the advice of Pujya Swamiji, Divine Life Society devotees have attended these events in 1999 (Cape Town), 2004 (Barcelona) and in 2009 (Melbourne). This year, devotees from DLS of SA will also represent the Society. The primary objective, as outlined by Pujya Swamiji, is to promote our Master’s spiritual literature. A large consignment of books will be sent to Salt Lake City. Years ago, Pujya Swamiji printed thousands of copies of the Master’s inspiring biography, From Man to God-man, with the view of marketing them in the United States. Now, this unique opportunity has arisen to fulfil this divine wish. Other books that will be sent are: Peace Series, Science of Yoga, Yoga Lessons for Children, What Becomes of the Soul After Death, Questions and Answers, Practice of Karma Yoga, Divine Life For Children, Enlightened Education, etc.
Apart from the above, the Society has also made various proposals to present workshops/ papers to promote the teachings of the Master.
